Code of Conduct for Campers
The purpose of this Camp Meeting is to provide the youth an opportunity for encounter with God. The Camp meeting would give special times for reflection, worship, sharing, counseling, and solitude through which we may experience a deeper sense of God’s presence and purpose for our lives.
In order for the Camp meeting to be success, the following rules must be adhered to:
1. The Camp meeting is for only people who have registered to stay at the camp. There shall be no commuting option.
2. Participants of the same gender will be grouped together into rooms and assigned a room with Room Leaders.
a) Though participants could interact with members of other Rooms, no participant can change his/her assigned room.
b) Each Camper is to stay in the room assigned by the Camp Committee.
3. Under no circumstance should a male participant be found at the girls' lodging. Neither should any female enter into a male participant's lodging.
4. All participants must follow the Camp Meeting Programme as outlined.
a) No one should excuse himself/herself from any of the scheduled activities.
b) Rooms will be inspected for tidiness each morning.
c) A roll call shall be made at all activities.
Absenteeism and lateness at scheduled programmes will not be tolerated.
5. All participants must obey the instructions of the Youth Leaders and Room Leaders.
6. Sleeping time will be observed as follows:
a) At 11 p.m. each night, there will be “Lights Out” for all Youth Members. The youth should be on their beds sleeping or having a quiet time. There should be absolutely no noise-making beyond 11 p.m.
b) The youth are to sleep early in order to wake up early and not to be tired or sleepy for the next day’s programme.
7. A Room would be supervised by Room Leaders whose duties are:
I. To maintain order and discipline among their group by reporting misbehavior to the Youth Leaders.
II. To make sure their rooms are tidy.
III. To make sure room members follow the Camp’s Program.
The Room Leaders should be accorded the same respect as the Youth Leaders.
8. Please respect the Camp property. Campers would be held personally liable for any damage caused to the College.
9. No MP3/MP4, iPods, cell phones, or electronic games or anything that is disruptive to a proper learning environment will be allowed at the Camp especially during camp activities.
10. For safety reasons, no participant is to venture out of the campground unless given permission to do so.
a) No participant should walk alone. Groups of less than three Campers are discouraged.
b) Bringing of valuable items that could easily be lost are discouraged.
Please label all your belongings.
11. Harassment and violence of any kind is strictly prohibited.
12. Please respect other people's privacy - e.g. knock before entering into any room.
13. The use of profane, vulgar or obscene words is highly prohibited.
14. No camper shall possess illegal drugs or alcohol.
15. Any camper proven guilty of theft will be immediately ejected from camp.
Discipline:
1. Report all wrongdoing to a Room Leader or Youth Leader.
2. The Room Leader must inform the Youth Leaders of the misbehaving participant.
3. Depending on the severity of the offence, the Youth Leaders could discipline the participant or report him/her to the accompanying Priest for action.
What to Bring: Each participant must bring along:
• Clothing that are appropriate for the weather and dressing outfit for Sunday Service
• Running/hiking shoes; slippers
• Bible, Notebook, pen/pencil to take notes
• Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sponge, towel, and personal accessories.
• Mosquito repellent
• Spending money, camera (optional).
• Extra snack (optional).
Every participant is to dress in a modest and chaste manner as befitting Christians.
